ELAC - English Language Advisory Committee

Our English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC) meets quarterly. The purpose of ELAC is to advise the principal and staff on programs and services to English Learners (ELs). ELAC assists parents in becoming informed about and comfortable with our district’s Master Plan for English Learners and their school’s Single Plan for Student Achievement. ELAC meetings are open to the public; all parents are encouraged to attend.

Whittier parent representatives who also attend the District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) provide us with important information as well.

These meetings are in English and Spanish.

This committee contains two District English Language Advisory Committee (DELAC) representatives as members of School Site Council. The SSC is a governing body which participates in school planning, budget decisions, monitoring and implementation of school wide plan, evaluation and parent communication.
