Uniform and Dress Code Policy

Whittier Dress Code

At Whittier, we express our PRIDE by wearing our uniform and dressing as scholars.  We are preparing our students to be college and career ready!  All students are expected to come to school ready to learn.  A uniform is highly encouraged.   

Uniform

  • Shirts: Plain white or red; school spirit t-shirt on Friday

  • Pants: Dark blue pants, shorts, skirts, or dresses (Dark blue jeans are acceptable but not recommended because they fade)

General Dress Policy

  • Students are at school to learn and their dress should reflect their determination to be college and career ready.

  • Clothing should be clean, with no large rips or tears.

  • The student should not wear clothes that display midriffs.

  • Hats and hoods may be worn outside of the classroom.  

Safety 

  • Closed-toe shoes should be worn at all times.

  • No loose jewelry.
