Principal's Message

August 2021

Dear Whittier Families,

With great excitement, I am introducing myself to you as the principal of Whittier Elementary School. I'm eager to jump into the good work of building a meaningful and safe elementary experience for your children. As we start the 2021-22 school year, I look forward to getting to know your children, celebrating their successes, and encouraging them to be their best.

I currently have over 20 years in public education. For the last seven years, I have been working as a principal in the Ocean View School District. Outside of being a principal, my wife and I have an eight-year-old boy that loves school and playing soccer.

I'm ecstatic to be able to work with the Whittier community. I'm proud that Whittier emphasizes "Dolphin PRIDE," where we will encourage all students to be their personal best.   At Whittier, our leadership, staff, and teachers will continue to be committed to building a positive and safe school climate and valuing respectful relationships with one another. I am looking forward to building a partnership with our parent community and collaborating with all of you to best support your child.

Over the next few months, I am eager to get to know you.  I want you to know I am a visible leader that welcomes open and honest communication. Whether you see me around campus or in the parking lot, please don't hesitate to stop and say hello. I appreciate the opportunity to sit down and hear your expectations for Whittier Elementary School. You can always email me to schedule a face-to-face dialogue or a phone conversation.

Again, I am honored to be your child's principal. I look forward to working with all of you and seeing your child on campus on Monday, August 23rd.

Go Dolphins!
